Event Volunteer – Duathlon activity, World Triathlon Mixed Relays Nottingham

Date: Thursday 7th June

Location: Victoria Embankment

Time: 1pm-6pm

About the opportunity: The Triathlon Trust will be delivering a static bike-run challenge for children and families. Everyone receives a certificate for participating. We provide the bikes.

We will be encouraging people to get involved in the various events open to the public to get active and give triathlon a 'tri' around the World Triathlon Mixed Relays.

An active and fun day. We provide all volunteers with a t-shirt, packed lunch and refreshments. You will be fully briefed on the day. Suitable for volunteers of all abilities.

The time of the volunteering opportunity is 1-6pm. You are welcome to stay and watch the elite races on the big screen or head over to the course for 6:30pm.


Event Volunteer: GO TRI Darley Moor

Date: 7th June and 19th July

Location: Darley Moor Motor Racing Circuit

About the Opportunity: First aid cover required for two GO TRI events at Darley Moor. Registration from 5.30pm and races start at 7pm.

Event Volunteer – GO TRI duathlon activity, World Triathlon Series Leeds

Date: Saturday 9, Sunday 10th June – join us for one or both days

Location: Roundhay Park

Time: Saturday 9-4pm, Sunday 9-6pm

Activity: Alongside the exciting action of the World Triathlon Series Leeds, delivering a fun, free ‘have a go’ bike-run challenge to promote triathlon and multi-sport to children and families

Event volunteer: Kids' Triathlon, Bristol
Location: Horfield Leisure Centre, BS7 0XW
Date: Monday 2 July 2018

About the opportunity
Join our friendly, experienced team at the Triathlon Trust to deliver a fun, free and inclusive mini-tri for children in Bristol. 

You’ll help deliver a fun-filled day to give kids the chance to complete their first triathlon and inspire them to get more active!

A one-day opportunity working both indoors and outdoors, suitable for volunteers of all abilities. We provide all volunteers with a t-shirt, packed lunch and refreshments.

Roles on the day include marshalling around the course, handing out medals and water at the finish line and registering participants as they arrive. You will be fully briefed on the day. Our volunteers help ensure a smooth and safe event and that every kid leaves with a smile on their face.

This Katie’s Legacy Mini-Triathlon has been organised in memory of Katie Henderson, an accomplished young triathlete who tragically lost her life in an accident in 2015. Her family and friends wanted to do something that would give children the opportunity to experience the sport that Katie loved and have raised funds to hold this free event for local children.

Practical Considerations
•    A variety of roles available, working indoors or outdoors
•    Suitable for volunteers of all abilities, 16 years plus
•    We provide volunteers with a t-shirt and packed lunch
•    Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for delivering an outdoors activity.
•    You will be fully briefed on the day
•    Our volunteers help ensure a smooth and safe event and that everyone has a fun and positive experience of multi-sport.

Event volunteer: Kids' Triathlon, Reading
Location: Queen Anne’s School, RG4 6DX
Date: Friday 6th July 2018

Event volunteer: Safeguarding Officer; 2018 School Games National Finals
Location: Loughborough
Date: Thursday 30 August to Sunday 2 September 2018

To liaise with the Safeguarding Lead and the Team Managers (as required) prior to and during the 2018 School Games, to ensure the welfare of athletes throughout the event. To have read, be familiar with the content and procedures and role model the implementation of the 2018 School Games National Finals Safeguarding Plan.

To support all participating athletes, young officials and young volunteers to achieve their event aims.
