Crystal Palace Triathlon Race Report

Published:

Blue skies and sunshine greeted over 600 senior competitors on Sunday for the 4th race in the London league series and the second triathlon within a week, the Crystal Palace Sprint Triathlon.

After the chilly weather 6 days earlier, conditions were close to perfect for the 750m pool swim, 20km 9-lap bike and 5km 2-lap run in and around the iconic athletics stadium.

In the individual competitions, overall honours in the Women's race went to Amy Pritchard (Tri London) in 1:10:05, followed by Hannah Ewens (Crystal Palace) in second and Holly Dixon (Greenwich Tritons) in third.  In the Men's race, honours went to Ross Jarvis (London Fields TC) in 1:04:35, ahead of Rob Parry (Crystal Palace) in second and Jonathan Pontin (Addiscombe CC) in third  (all results provisional subject to final confirmation).
In the Team events London Fields TC took 1st place in the Men's, with Crystal Palace taking the Women's and Mixed competitions and Windrush turning out in numbers to take the Mob match competition.

Shout out to the Crystal Palace team for putting on another great race at a great venue.

The League takes a short break but reconvenes for Race 5 on May 25th at the Tooting Bec Aquathlon.
