Total Motion Aquathlon Race Report

Published:

Tooting Bec Lido played host to Round 5 of the London League on Saturday 25th May for the Total Motion / Clapham Chasers Aquathlon.

The 10:00am start afforded the 120+ racers a much welcome lie-in ahead of the 810m swim and 5km run in near perfect conditions.

In the individual age group competitions, Alan Scott (Clapham) took the men's title in 00:31:25 followed by clubmate Martin Rutter in second and Haukur Heimisson (Ful-on Tri) in third. Katie Curd (Tri London) took first in the women's race in 00:33:09 followed by Susan Fairfax (Crystal Palace) in second and Katie Falconer (SLH) in third. The team competitions were keenly faught, with Clapham taking the men's and mob titles ahead of Ful-On Together, before also winning the mixed ahead of Crystal Palace. Chasers missed out on a team clean sweep however, as Crystal Palace took the women's honours.

Thanks to Total Motion and Clapham Chasers for a great race at a great venue. The London League will now take a small break before heading east to Dartford and the Bridge Tri on June 23rd.
