London based triathletes now have the unique opportunity to train with Olympic legend Daley Thompson CBE, at his state of the art gym facility.
Recently launched in Putney, Daley Fitness offers a fully-equipped gym including 30 spin bikes and more than 60 pieces of cardio equipment. A packed timetable of classes including HIIT, circuits, yoga, TRX and boxing, alongside luxury locker rooms and a stylish lounge area. Daley Fitness have also just launched a triathlon-specific training class aimed at local clubs.
Classes are taught by Daley himself, alongside his team of hand-picked instructors.
The opening of Daley’s gym coincides with his involvement in Tri St Lucia. Now in it’s third year, the tropical triathlon was launched to support and grow multisport in the Carribean giving local communities the opportunity to get involved.
Tri St Lucia attracts both international and local athletes, with three distances to chose from, each with individual and relay options. The week leading up to the race includes an aquathlon, beach run, open water swim, masterclasses with Olympians plus a pre-race reception meal. Race ambassador Daley Thompson alongside running legend Steve Cram will be on the island for the event, supporting the athletes taking part and conducting free masterclasses.
The swim is in the beautiful clear waters of Pigeon Island Bay, followed by a scenic bike route on partially closed roads with plenty of tough hills. The run course is a flat out-and-back loop to the Old Fort on Pigeon Island. After the race, head out on the post celebratory boat trip to Pitons, and mix with Olympians and your fellow competitors at the after party.
Fancy a laid-back end of season race? Tri St Lucia takes place on 21st November 2015 and spaces are still available to sign up via www.tristlucia.com. Find out more about Daley Thompson’s gym at www.daleyfitness.com
