There's no let up in the VONCRANK London League, another weekend another race!
Sunday saw the London League action switch from west to east as the Lee Valley VeloPark, in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park hosted East London Triathletes' Dragon Slayer Duathlon.
An overcast sky and chill wind meant conditions were cool for the 10:15am start, as just over 80 competitors took to the line for the 3 mile run/15 mile bike/2 mile run. A total of 20 laps around the fast and technical 1 mile lap made for exciting racing with plenty of action for the spectators to enjoy.
In the Team competitions three clubs dominated the results. Serpentine (4th, 12th and 15th) took the Men’s first place by a single point from Crystal Palace in second (1st, 9th and 22nd) and East London Triathletes in third (2 finishers - 5th and 29th).
For the Women it was Crystal Palace (27th, 35th and 75th) in first followed by Serpentine (53rd, 60th and 61st) then East London Triathletes (2 finishers - 31st and 62nd).
Taking first place in the Mixed was Crystal Palace Triathletes with Serpentine Running Club first in the Mob Match with 12 racers (all results subject to confirmation).

Shout out to Peter and his team at East London Triathletes for putting on a great race despite problems with the timing system.
Ahead of the mid-season break, the League moves south of the river next weekend for Race 6, the Crystal Palace Triathlon.
