Home Nation Membership

Are you covered?

Insurance is just one of many Home Nation Membership benefits, but means you can train and race with confidence all year round!

1. Get Started

We have a number of ways to introduce you to para-triathlon in London including a trial programme for blind & VI triathletes.

If you require adaptations to take part in events and undertake training this is not a problem, it simply requires further understanding of your specific requirements and then finding the best arrangements that enable you to fully participate.

Every year thousands of people take up triathlon for the first time, for those of you not comfortable with one of the disciplines swimming, cycling and running there are options such as duathlons (cycling and running) and aquathlons (swimming and running) There are a few events that are specifically set up for para-triathletes, but you should find most if not all events will be able to accommodate required adaptations.

1.1 New to Triathlon?

If you are interested in taking up triathlon for the first time but are not sure how to go about it please get in touch email: londonparatricoordinator@britishtriathlon.org. You may already know what adaptations and support you will need, but even if you are not sure don’t worry we can discuss your circumstances and help you identify what support will be most effective for you.

1.2 Drop-in sessions

We are aiming to run these drop-in sessions every quarter for anyone to come along and get information about getting into triathlon or any of the individual disciplines and related matters.  At each session our aim is to also give you practical, hands-on experience of an aspect of triathlon.  The date of our first session will be on September 29 2018 at the London Aquatic Centre for more details click HERE

Further drop in sessions will be added to the programme over the year. If you would like to attend, please contact us via the email londonparatricoordinator@britishtriathlon.org

1.3 Triathlon Taster sessions

Our intention is to run at least one taster session each year subject to sufficient interest.  The aim of the session will be to give you experience of all three disciplines and transitions incorporating your required adaptations.  The date of the session is likely to be late 2018 or early 2019 there would be a small fee to cover some of the costs.  If you are interested, then please register your interest by emailing londonparatricoordinator@britishtriathlon.org

1.4 For blind and visually impaired triathletes

We are running a trial programme to match VI triathletes with triathlon guides to help the triathletes participate training and events.  The main event in this programme is a training weekend for the triathletes and their guides, this will take place over November 17th and 18th 2018 at venues on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  For further details please click HERE.

If you are interested in participating either as a triathlete or guide please register your interest be emailing londonparatricoordinator@britishtriathlon.org
