It was also busy weekend of action for developing British athletes with the Junior European Cup in Austria and international debuts for Paratriathlon talent athletes in France.
2018 Antwerp ITU Triathlon World Cup
After running through the field over 5km from 26th at T2 to second at the finish in Antwerp, Beth Potter claimed the outstanding result of the weekend in winning silver behind Summer Cook (USA) at only her third ITU World Cup event as she progresses in her transition from track to triathlete. Marc Austin achieved a top ten finish in a very competitive men’s field.

2018 Kitzbuhel ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup
2017 Youth Super Series champion Daniel Dixon was the standout British performer at the Kitzbuhel ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup, finishing forth over the super-sprint distance despite being the youngest in the field. To qualify for the final on Sunday, he won Saturday's semi-final with a very impressive run.
Sophie Green (21st), Guy Evans-Haggerty (29th) and Andrew Rolland (30th) all qualified through to the final on Sunday. Full results available here.
2018 Besancon ITU Paratriathlon World Cup
Besancon, a city in eastern hosted the latest ITU Paratriathlon World Cup on Sunday, an event at which both Michael Taylor (PTS4) and Stuart Meikle (PTS2) were making their international debut.

IRONMAN 70.3
KMD IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship Elsinore
Adam Bowden clocked a time of 3:40:52 as he finished 2nd at the IRONMAN 70.3 European Championship Elsinore in the race which offered a $75,000 prize purse and a P-1500 points status towards Kona / 70.3 World Championship qualification. It was by far his best middle-distance performance to date, and he had lead the race earlier in the run before being overtaken.

IRONMAN 70.3 LUXEMBOURG - RÉGION MOSELLE
Susie Cheetham (2nd) and Colin Norris (3rd) both achieved a podium finish at the IRONMAN 70.3 Luxembourg event, which offered 50 qualifying slots for the 2018 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Full results here.
French Grand Prix
After leading out the first few kilometres of the run at the AJ Bell World Triathlon Leeds last Sunday, Sophie Coldwell raced for her French Grand Prix team and finished second. These events provided valuable international racing experience for developing elite athletes, and have previously featured the likes of Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee in the same team as Javier Gomez.
