Bidding to host 2023 age group major events is now open and event organisers are invited to bid to host British and Home Nation Championships, as well as Great Britain Age-Group Team Qualifiers next year.
British Triathlon and the Home Nations are keen to encourage event organisers of all sizes who permit their events to consider submitting bids to host these events.
There are Championships and GB Age-Group Team qualification events across a variety of distances and disciplines within swim, bike, run and, for the first time, event organisers can bid to host a super sprint triathlon qualifier in 2023.
Championship events consist of British Championships and English, Scottish and Welsh National Championships where age group athletes will compete for British and Home Nation Championship titles in their age group.
Age-Group Qualifiers are where age group athletes will seek qualification to represent the GB Age-Group Team at World and Europe Triathlon Championships.
Event organisers hosting an age group major event could lead to enhanced publicity, greater national prestige through being part of the age group major events calendar, increased appeal to potential sponsors and an increase in participant numbers.
Bidding will close at 12 noon on Wednesday 3 August 2022. All bids must be completed through the online form which can be accessed through the links below, although event organisers are encouraged to carefully read the guidance prior to submitting a bid.
