British Triathlon supports World Mental Health Day

Published:

Monday 10 October marks World Mental Health Day, a day of awareness to recognise the importance of mental wellbeing, practising self-care, educating ourselves and each other, or simply starting a conversation.

This year’s theme is “Make mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority” and British Triathlon is again supporting the day and promoting the importance of supporting the wellbeing of not only the people around you, but also practising self-care all year round.

Mind, the mental health charity, is using spoken word to show the different ways people talk about their experiences, with their awareness campaign, 'If this speaks to you, speak to us'. More information about the campaign can be viewed here.

Sometimes, finding the words to say how we feel is tough. But just know you are not alone and if you need support there's a range of organisations that are available to help, including your GP, Mind, Samaritans and Shout.
