Ellie Mastro is running, cycling and roller skating her way to a fundraising goal of £1,600 for Royal Free Charity.

Five-year-old Ellie Mastro is keen on swim, bike and run and has set out on an amazing fundraising challenge.

After witnessing the incredible hard work from NHS workers throughout the current crisis, Ellie wanted to raise money to support healthcare workers and say thank you for the work they have been doing.

Michelle, her Mum, said: “Ellie loves nothing more than taking on a new challenge and learning new skills, so has decided to do the following every Saturday for the next four weeks.”

Her goal is to complete a 2.5km run and 2km bike ride on her frog bike and a new challenge of 0.5km roller skating every week.

This means that Ellie will cover 5km in total, every week. Adding up to an impressive 20km distance across the four weeks of her challenge.

Her charity of choice is The Royal Free Charity, with Ellie’s funds supporting Royal Free London patients through trained volunteers, additional equipment, improved environments, and patient-based research.

Ellie has already completed three of her races and intends to finish with a flourish this weekend.

Michelle commented: “She finished every week absolutely exhausted but having enjoyed the challenge.”

Ellie’s fundraiser is incredibly close to the ambitious target of £1600, having already raised around 95% of her goal. The fundraiser ends this weekend on 7 June.

Michelle said: “Let's get behind her to help reach her target of raising as much money as possible to support the NHS.”
