Challenge Riccione
India Lee took silver at Challenge Riccione in the event which started with a 1.9km swim in the Adriatic Sea before a 90km bike course in the hills and historic landscape around Rimini, finishing with a 21km run along Riccione’s promenade.
Lee crossed the finish line in 04:29:03 behind Dutch athlete Sarissa De Vries. Tom Davis finished 23rd in the men’s race. View all the results below.
Royal Wootton Bassett Sprint Duathlon 2021
The seventh edition of the event saw it sell out as participants looking to get back to racing. After heavy wind and rain during the event set up, the sun shone towards the end of the racing to give participants, volunteers and the event staff what they were after.
The 2021 event raised over £1,500 for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance and results are available below.
Ely 115 Squadron Duathlon 2021
A mix of experienced triathletes and first-timers took to the disused WWII airfield in Witchford for this event run by Ely Tri Club.
Usually held earlier in the year, slightly warmer than usual conditions for the race saw participants complete a 5km run, 25km bike and a second 5km run to reach the finish and collect their finisher t-shirt and medal. View the results below.
Microgaming 2021 Triathlon Festival Weekend
The weekend gave participants on the Isle of Man the chance to swim 750m, bike 20km and run 5km either alone or as part of a team. The solo race took place on Saturday but was reduced to an aquathlon due to the weather, however Sunday’s team event saw all three disciplines completed.
More information about the event can be found on the Manx Triathlon Club’s Facebook page below.
Carlisle Duathlon
Taking in some of the Cumbrian countryside, the Carlisle Duathlon on Sunday welcomed participants for a run, bike, run. With a number of triathlon clubs from the North West represented at the event, it was a great opportunity for triathletes to get back to multisport and for first-timers to get involved.
