Leeds TriStar and Youth entries open for future stars of swim, bike, run

TriStar and Youth entries for 2022 World Triathlon Championship Leeds are now open, offering the opportunity for the future stars of swim, bike, run the chance to race on the same weekend as the world’s elite.

The TriStar 2, 3 and Youth racing is open to anyone between the ages of 11-17 and will be held on Saturday 11 June 2022 in Roundhay Park, Leeds, during a packed programme of swim, bike, run activity over the course of the event weekend.

TriStar and Youth covers different age groups, allowing participants to compete against other athletes of a similar age.

TriStar 2 is open to athletes aged 11-12 who will race over a 200m swim, 5km bike and 1.7km run. Athletes aged 13-14 will race in TriStar 3, completing the same distance on the bike as TriStar 2, but TriStar 3 includes a longer swim (300m) and run (2.5km).

Youth racing features athletes aged 15-17 with their event covering a 200m swim, 9.5km bike and a 2.5km run.

All athletes will get to experience the same iconic blue carpet finish as the elite athletes competing in the 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series races, with thousands of athletes, from participants taking part in their first triathlon to the elite athletes, taking to the start line across the event weekend.

Entries are still open for 2022 World Triathlon Championship Series Leeds, and there are swim, bike, run events for all levels and experiences, including standard, sprint, GO TRI and a relay option, where you can team up with two people to complete the triathlon together by taking a discipline each.

Volunteering opportunities have also been launched and applications are now open for the unique experience of volunteering at one of three major British Triathlon events being held in the UK this year.
