Beth Potter will begin her 2022 triathlon season in Portugal off the back of a 2021 which included back-to-back World Triathlon Cup wins in South Korea last October and two seventh place finishes at World Triathlon Championship Series events, including the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

The women’s race will also feature Sophie Alden, who was fourth at last season’s final Europe Triathlon Cup race in Barcelona, and Sophia Green, who had success in Portugal last year, winning Europe Triathlon Cup Coimbra, one of two European podium finishes in 2021 for Green.

Whilst most will be making their first start of the season, Dan Dixon has already had a busy start to the year in the USA, including victory at the Elite Super Sprint Triathlon Cup in Clermont and a first senior international podium finish at Americas Triathlon Cup Sarasota-Bradenton. Harry Leleu will take part in his second Europe Triathlon Cup of 2022 having finished fourth in Lievin two weeks ago.
