Olympic Triathlon Mixed Team Relay Preview

Published:

After Alex Yee’s gold and Beth Potter’s bronze in the individual races, there’s one more triathlon medal up for grabs for Team GB triathletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the mixed team relay on Monday.

What is the mixed team relay?

Four triathletes (two male and two female) will race one after the other. The winning team is the one whose fourth triathlete crosses the line first. In Paris they will race male, female, male, female, the opposite to Tokyo where a male triathlete raced the final leg.

Triathletes will all complete a 300m swim, a two-lap 7km bike and a two-lap 1.8km run before handing over to their teammate on parts of the iconic course they raced on during Tuesday’s individual races.
