2018 Astana ITU Triathlon World Cup

Lucy Hall is one of the best triathlon swimmers in the world, so we can imagine her disappointment when the race in Kazakhstan on Saturday was changed to a duathlon because of the temperature. Iestyn Harrett did get the opportunity to swim, but pulled out after the bike.

IRONMAN Barcelona 70.3

It was a British 1-2 on the podium in the women’s race on Sunday. Emma Pallant took the overall win with a 1:20:49 half marathon which put her ahead of fellow British athlete Fenella Langridge, who finished second.

David McNamee was up against multiple world champion, Javier Gomez in the men’s race. McNamee kept Gomez in sight throughout the swim and bike, before the Spaniard pulled away on the run. McNamee finished second. Adam Bowden took part in his first full 70.3, after his win on the shortened Challenge Roma course. He finished fifth ahead of Elliot Smales in sixth.
