Rio Paratriathlon silver medal winners, Alison Patrick and Hazel Macleod, have been included in the Great Britain team for the 2017 UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships in Los Angeles from 2-5 March.

Patrick, who is visually impaired, won three bronze medals at the national track championships in Manchester at the weekend. She will compete at the World Championships guided by Helen Scott.

Macleod (nee Smith), who was Patrick’s guide in Rio when they won Paratriathlon silver, will guide for Lora Fachie. The pair won silver in the pursuit at Manchester velodrome at the weekend.

Patrick and Macleod are competing on the track for the first time to help improve their bike handling and strength ahead of the ITU World Paratriathlon Series starting in April.
