Portugal, Ibiza and Malta host events throughout the weekend.


It’s a busy weekend ahead for Age Group and elite triathletes and paratriathletes heading to Portugal, Ibiza and Malta. If you’re ready for some live stream action, there’s the second round of Super League racing.

2018 Funchal ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

It’s the final round of the ETU European Cup and Jack Willis will race in Portugal after that epic sprint finish at the European U23 Championships in Eilat last weekend. Ben Dijkstra gets a late season international start after spending most of the year overcoming injury.

2018 Maderia Paratriathlon World Cup Funchal

A mix of experienced and developing paratriathletes head to Portugal for the ITU World Cup event. Amongst them, Mark Conway has the experience of fourth place in the wheelchair category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and a string of 2018 podium finishes, including gold at the Fyn ITU Long Distance Triathlon World Championships.

Iain Dawson, a multiple former ITU World Champion in the visually impaired category, adds more experience which will no doubt benefit some of the up and coming athletes. Eighteen year-old Megan Richter gets her first international start in the PTS4 category.

2018 Ibiza ETU Multisport European Championship

This weekend sees the Ibiza ETU Multisport European Championships come to a close with the Middle Distance and Aquabike finishing the week of multisport. All five British athletes will be very competitive in the middle distance event.

Age Group athletes will also tackle the Middle Distance course and the Aquabike races expecting to add to the British medal haul. You can follow the British Roll of Honour, to keep a track on how many medals our Age Group athletes have won so far here.

2018 Tongyeong ITU Triathlon World Cup

Gordon Benson and Morgan Davies heads to South Korea for the penultimate ITU World Cup event of the year. The event takes place over the sprint distance and is located on the south coast of South Korea. The bike course is hilly, which should suit both British athletes.

Super League Malta

Malta hosts its first Super League Triathlon race this weekend with the Jonathon Brownlee set to make an appearance alongside Jersey's Oliver Turner. In the women’s race Jodie Stimpson will be continuing her Super League season before the final Super League Triathlon event of 2018 in Mallorca next weekend.
