SportsAid Week #MyMiles Challenge

Published:

Each year, British Triathlon’s next generation athletes receive funding from SportsAid, helping to support them in covering the costs of travel, competition and training.

Athletes who are selected for their Home Nation Talent squad are put forward to receive SportsAid funding allowing them to access the facilities, camps and competitions to develop their skills. By helping to remove the barrier of cost usually borne by their family, SportsAid means can focus on their training and growth.

Previous athletes who have benefitted from SportsAid funding include gold medal winner from Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham 2019, Alex Yee; and Hannah Moore, double World Champion in the PTS4 category.

To help support the work of SportsAid and the dedication of up and coming athletes, 23-29 September is SportsAid Week and we’re encouraging members to get involved with the #MyMiles Challenge.

SportsAid athletes typically cover 40 miles per week as they train and compete, and to support the #MyMiles Challenge, SportsAid are encouraging everyone to complete 40miles of activity in solidarity with the athletes.

Swim, bike and run your way through 40 miles and share your progress using #MyMiles on social media. Fundraise as part of your efforts and help raise money to support the next generation of athletes.
