Super League Triathlon (SLT) Teams will be part of the 2021 Championship Series, expanding on the format to create new racing dynamics through a team franchise dynamic. SLT Teams brings with it an additional $320,000 prize pot which guarantees money for every athlete participating regardless of placing.
The draft comprised of forty Super League athletes who were divided into the five teams which are listed below.
The team managers, four-time world champion Chris McCormack, four-time world champion Tim Don, world duathlon champion Annie Emerson, 11-time IRONMAN winner Ronnie Schildknecht and two-time Olympian Michelle Dillon, each took turns to select athletes through a snake draft that was broadcast live on SLT’s YouTube.

The Super League Triathlon 2021 Championship Series kicks off on 5 September, as athletes compete in back-to-back racing beginning in London before travelling to Munich, Jersey and finally Malibu.
Having hosted the Arena Games in London earlier this year, this series opener will mark the first time in which Super League hosts a Championships Series event in the city as well as the first time in two years that Super League showcases its unique swim, bike, run formats at an outdoor event.
