The Castle Triathlon Series celebrates 10 years of nurturing triathletes

Published:

100,000 competitors; 10 race distances, 10% increase in female competitors, over £1,000,000 raised for charity.

The Castle Triathlon Series is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year having hosted their first event, Hever Castle Triathlon, in 2009 with 1,100 competitors.

The popular triathlon series will host 18,000 competitors across six weekend events in the UK, Ireland and France in 2018. The Hever Castle Triathlon has grown by a huge 500%, and is now the third largest triathlon in the UK with over 6,000 competitors. It’s also been recognised as the world’s largest junior triathlon.

The Series features a number of stunning locations, festival offering and event atmosphere.

Seasoned athlete, David Bishop, best described the events.“It’s more than just a race. With Castle Tri you enjoy the whole event experience, not just race and leave, and I personally love seeing the children compete.”

With the conception of the Castle Triathlon Series (CTS), ten years ago, came the first triathlon offering for all the family with multiple distances over one weekend. The community following has since grown and the weekend further developed to make the athlete and spectator experience truly memorable. The loyal CTS team work hard to continue nurturing the #CastleTriFamily.
