World Triathlon Para Series Montreal

Henry Urand claimed men’s PTS3 gold at World Triathlon Para Series Montreal in what was the final race in the Paris Paralympic Games qualifying window. He exited the 760m swim in fifth place over a minute off race leader Michael Herter of France. On the 20.2km bike ride the Brit was the quickest of anyone to take the lead of the race, which was where he stayed on the 5km run.

Megan Richter also stood on the podium in Canada, finishing second in the women’s PTS4 race. She exited the swim in second place just one second behind America’s Emma Meyers. Richter took control of the race on the bike leg but dropped to second on the run, crossing the line behind Kelly Elmlinger of the US.

The women’s PTVI category saw Alison Peasgood and guide Brooke Gillies narrowly miss out on a podium place. The pair cross the line in fifth place with just six seconds covering Ireland’s Chloe MacCombe and her guide (third) and Brazil’s Leticia Freitas and her guide (fourth).

Josh Landmann took fourth place in the men’s PTWC race while Finley Jakes was seventh in the men’s PTS4 race.

Europe Triathlon Cup Holten

Harry Leleu was the first Brit across the line in Holland as he picked up a top-ten finish. He exited the water towards the front of the race before losing ground on the bike leg. He recovered well on the 5km run though to cross the line in eighth.

Fellow Brit Jack Willis came 11th with just four seconds separating him and Italy’s Delian Stateff (tenth). Sam Hart recorded a DNF.

IRONMAN 70.3 Les Sables D’Olonne

Nikki Bartlett won a silver medal with fellow Brit Kate Curran coming third to ensure two Brits stood on the podium in France.

Curran was the lead British triathlete after the swim leg, exiting the water in fourth. Across the bike leg, though, her and Bartlett swapped positions. The run saw Bartlett set the fastest time of the race as she finished just 40 seconds behind race winner Laura Madsen of Denmark.

Curran was third quickest on the run to join the duo on the podium. Further back Rebecca Anderbury crossed the line in 13th with Rachel Brown coming 17th.

In the men’s race, George Goodwin came 10th as the lead Brit. Matthew Collins was 20th, while Finn Arentz recorded a DNF after the bike leg.

2024 Challenge Cagnes-Sur-Mer

Matthew Palmer led home a trio of Brits in the men’s race in France with a tenth-place finish. Behind him, Daniel Bluff was 19th with Thomas Davies crossing the line in 23rd.

In the women’s race, Chloe Sparrow set the early pace, leading out of the water but went onto record a DNF after the bike leg.
