East Leake End of Season Triathlon – 27 September
East Leake triathlon had its end of season race over the weekend with Carl Shaw of Speedhub Triclub clocking the fastest overall time, finishing the course in 00:54:39. The fastest woman on the day was Michelle Willcocks of BelperTenTwenty who recorded a time of 01:03:07.
The event welcomed many first-time participants as well as experienced athletes looking to beat their personal best over the 400m swim, 22km bike and 5km run.
Sywell Multisport Festival Weekend – 26-27 September
Despite the weather throwing up difficult conditions at times for participants, the Sywell Multisport Festival Weekend in Northamptonshire was a great success. The festival hosted a number of races over the weekend including triathlon, aquathlon and swim-only events.
GO TRI Her Spirit Nottingham – 26 September
Her Spirit partnered with British Triathlon at Spring Lakes Water Sports Centre in Nottingham to bring GO TRI events to women of various skill levels in multisport. The weekend events provided off-road running routes and a lake-based swim but most of all it had a friendly and encouraging atmosphere for everyone getting involved.
Southampton Fast Twitch Triathlon – 27 September
New Forest National Park played host to a variety of multisport events in which Dan Mason clocked the fastest time across the sprint distance triathlon (01:03:12) and Alli Bone on the Aquabike (01:03:48).
GO TRI Reading @ Green Park – 27 September
More GO TRI action took place over the weekend, with Reading’s Green Park welcoming beginner participants to a 12km duathlon by the lakeside.
Hever Castle Triathlon – 26-27 September
From swimming, aquabike, aquathlon, duathlon and various triathlon distances, Hever Castle Triathlon was packed with multisport action over the weekend despite the chilly conditions. A Facebook live will be taking place on Wednesday, 30 September for all of the participants to celebrate together online.
GO TRI Welcome Back Duathlon – 27 September
More off-road GO TRI took place over the weekend, with participants taking on a duathlon across an 11.75km, mostly flat trail course in Suffolk.
GO TRI Dunham Massey Duathlon – 26-27 September
A two day GO TRI event took place in Dunham Massey with races taking place in waves over the two days. The event saw large numbers in attendance seeing 132 athletes make up the start list across all four waves.
Post Lockdown September Duathlon – 27 September
Prizes were awarded in Ulverston, Cumbria to the fastest man, woman and team for both short and long-distance races in the Post Lockdown September Duathlon from Ulverston Triathlon Club. Competitors were set off in small groups at intervals in order to maintain social distancing for the race.
Birmingham Triathlon at Alderford Lake – 26 September
Alderford Lake was the scene of a number of different multisport races last weekend with Damo Littlewood recording the fastest time over the standard distance, crossing the line in 02:11:40. Michelle Willcocks was the first fastest of the women, finishing in 02:19:54.
Black Country Triathletes Junior Aquathlon – 26 September
Originally slated for 21 March 2020 this year, this junior aquathlon offered a number of distances for young athletes to get involved in including TriStar 1,2 and 3 in addition to TriStar Start and Youth races. The event allowed for one spectator per participant as it operated under British Triathlon’s Covid-19 Guidance.
Dawlish Triathlon - #TriSummer – 27 September
Offering a rare seaside swim, the Dawlish Triathlon was an attractive event for athletes looking to test themselves in open water over the weekend. In addition to the 750m sea swim, 24km cycle and 5km single loop run, participants also had a GO TRI supersprint option that shortened the race to a 300m sea swim, 8km bike and 2.5km run.
Last weekend’s events were issued with a British Triathlon event permit, meaning their safety documentation and Covid-19 Secure measures have met the required standards. You can find further upcoming events on the event search buttons below.
