There were plenty of strong performances from all our male British athletes at Ironman 70.3 Barcelona. Last year’s runner-up David McNamee once again finished second with George Goodwin finishing third and Elliot Smales coming home in fourth. Mark Buckingham just missed out on a top ten finish by crossing the line in 11th.

There was joy for Fenella Langridge as she claimed gold in Barcelona finishing over six minutes clear of second placed Sara Van De Vel. Laura Siddall finished fifth with Caroline Livesey unfortunately not finishing the race.
