Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham

A dominant win from gun to tape saw the Great Britain Mixed Relay team win gold at the Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham to further boost their qualification hopes for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

With persistant heavy rain prior to the event the decision was made to change the event to the duathlon format in the interest of athlete safety, but the young British quartet of Georgia Taylor-Brown, Ben Dijkstra, Sophie Coldwell and Alex Yee adapted to the change in circumstances and produced mature performance to finish over 40 seconds ahead of second place Switzerland, with France taking bronze.

The event also hosted the British sprint distance age-group championships, crowning 27 new winners for 2019, alongside opportunities for amatuers and young athletes with GO TRI and TriStar waves.
