Kazan ETU Sprint Triathlon European Championships
It was a British one-two in the Elite men’s race as Gordon Benson beat Sam Dickinson to gold in a sprint finish to the line. Benson, who was part of the British Mixed Relay team that took silver at the World Triathlon Mixed Relay Series in Edmonton, beat his compatriot Dickinson by one second to take the win. James Teagle came home in 15th.
Scottish National Aquathlon Championships
The sixth round of the Triathlon Scotland National Championships was held at the weekend with the Scottish National Aquathlon Championships hosted by Lomond Masters Swimming & Triathlon Club at Balloch Castle Country Park. Luke Howard took the men’s title with Kara Tait taking the women’s crown.
Ironman Hamburg
There was more gold medal success for Great Britain this time in Hamburg where Susie Cheetham took victory in the Pro women’s race finishing two minutes clear of USA’s Sarah Piampiano.
Ironman 70.3 Canada
Caroline Livesey finished just outside the top ten in 11th at Ironman 70.3 Canada with athletes having swam 1.9km, cycled 90km and ran 21.2km.
Ford Challenge Prague
Thomas Davis finished a respectable eighth place in the Pro men’s race at Ford Challenge Prague.
