Matt Willis won his first junior international gold, Chris Perham earned his first international podium in Holten and Hannah Moore won her first World Paratriathlon Series medal. Challenge Roth saw a dramatic finish for Lucy Charles, and there was drama at IRONMAN Austria too.

The British Paratriathlon Squad continued their display of strength after World Cup success at Eton Dorney in May. 2018 Holten ETU Sprint Triathlon Premium European Cup

Chris Perham earned his first international podium battling to the end in a sprint finish to finish second - just one second behind the winner, Ignacio Gonzalez Garcia (ESP). Iestyn Harrett was 23 seconds behind to finish seventh. Liam Lloyd placed 13^th, his highest since returning from injury last week.

Rachel Klamer didn’t disappoint the home crowd as she took the win. Nixie Turner finished 32^nd. Full List of results can be found here.

2018 Holten ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup

Matthew Willis took a big win thanks to an incredible run. It was his first junior international win after promising results on the youth circuit. Sam Hart narrowly missed out on a top ten, finishing in 12^th. Top British junior women was Hollie Elliot finished in 16^th, closely followed by Erica Byram in 17^th.

Challenge Roth

Lucy Charles set a new swim Course Record for Challenge Roth. Her time of 46:48 over 3800m was not only a new record, but faster than all of the pro men swam in the race. She led through the 112mile bike ride and 20miles of running, only to be overtaken by Germany’s Daniella Sammler. Charles kept her in sight, almost bridging back up to her, but Sammler took the win by nine seconds. Both women collapsed at finish.

Laura Siddall finished fourth, setting the second fastest run time of the race. Joe Skipper also ran his way into fourth with the quickest run leg (2:42:27). Fraser Cartmell finished 19^th.

IRONMAN

At IRONMAN Austria Emma Pallant took the lead during the run, only to be overtaken again. Her time of 9:03:59 was impressive given that this is her first year at the distance, and she finished third. Suzie Cheetham finished in fourth.
