Thruxton Mass Attack Duathlon – South Central
A wet and windy day of racing took place at Thruxton Race Circuit on Sunday for this Challenging Events duathlon. With sprint, standard and relay options available, there were 224 entrants to the event which took place entirely on the closed-road circuit.
Marius Kwint recorded the fastest sprint time (01:00:32), with Alexander Fortune (01:57:04) and Ant Gritton’s team (01:58:58) doing the same in the standard distance and standard distance relay.
Warwickshire Triathlon – West Midlands
The final UK Triathlon event of 2020 took place in Stratford-upon-Avon at the weekend, as the Warwickshire Triathlon welcomed a range of participants to the leisure centre for a pool-based triathlon.
Despite the conditions, 400 participants swim, bike and ran their way to completing the event across the different racing opportunities that were available.
Oulton Park Autumn Duathlon – North West
The motor circuit in Cheshire saw participants take part in one of three distances, with those entering the middle distance having the best of the weather. Whilst those on the sprint and standard distances had to battle with some autumnal weather, the clouds parted and the sun came out for those taking on the longer distance.
The day’s fastest times went to Ian Lawton (sprint 00:59:45), Dean Hanwell (standard 01:40:52) and Alex Taylor (middle 02:46:45).
