The Stockton Duathlon Festival held a Standard Distance Duathlon qualifier for 2019 British Age Group team places; there was a British top ten in Gran Canaria and Jade Jones-Hall raced at the London Marathon after her success at the Commonwealth Games. Laura Siddall also made the podium at Challenge Melbourne.
Tom Davis got the weekend off to a good start at Challenge Mogán Gran Canaria. He competed against a strong field, which included 2017 IRONMAN World Champion Patrick Lange (GER), and finished tenth.
Many hopeful triathletes made their way to Stockton this weekend for the 2019 ETU Standard Distance Duathlon Qualifier. The overall win for the men came from Lewis Timmins, with Dionne Allen winning the women’s race by a margin of three minutes. Full Results can be found here
Commonwealth Paratriathlon Champion, Jade Jones-Hall competed just a week after winning Commonwealth marathon bronze in Australia. She finished seventh in the T54 London Marathon. Mo Farrah broke the British record, set 33 years ago in 1985. He finished third overall in 2:06:32.
Laura Siddall continued her good season with second at Challenge Melbourne. She finished four minutes behind Australia’s former ITU star, Annabel Luxford in a time of 4:09:49. Radka Vodickova Kahlefeldt was third and New Zealand’s Mike Phillips won the men’s race in 3:43:51.
