2019 Alanya ITU Paratriathlon World Cup

Alison Peasgood (PTVI) makes a return to international competetion after taking gold at the Milan ITU World Paratriathlon Series and silver at the Group Copley World Paratriathlon Series Montreal.

British athletes will be competing in Turkey across a number of divisions. Joshua Landmann represents Great Britain for the PTWC Men. He will be aiming for his first medal of the year after finishing 4th at the GBR National Paratriathlon Championships in May. As for PTS2 Men, Stuart Meikle will be hoping to beat out Russia’s Vasilii Egorov. Meikle took gold at the GBR Paratriathlon National Championships and will look to achieve the same podium position in Turkey. Additionally, two British men compete in the PTS4 division, with Michael Taylor and Finley Jakes both wearing the British trisuit. Jakes finished 3rd in the GBR Paratriathlon National Championships, whilst Taylor’s busier race schedule has rewarded him with a silver medal in the same competition.

2019 Alanya ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

Samuel Dickinson pulls on the GB vest following his ETU European Cup win at Constanta. He will travel to Turkey in search of his fourth gold medal of the year. Joining Sam on the Mediterranean coast are Chris Perham and James Teagle. Perham makes his return to European Championship triathlon following his Super League detour, whereas Teagle will hope for his first podium of 2019 after his fourth-place finish at Olsztyn was decided by just four seconds. Also racing for Great Britain are Jack Willis, Will Crudgington and Guy Evans-Haggerty.

2019 Alanya ETU Triathlon Junior European Cup

Britain’s sole representative in the Junior Cup, Calum Young, hopes to make his mark in Turkey. To do so, he’ll have to hold off the in-form Igor Bellido Mikhailova (ESP). Young took silver in the Mixed Junior Relay at the Weert ETU Triathlon European Championships.

IRONMAN 70.3 Lanzarote

A new cycle course will lead the athletes through the southern part of the island across the fire mountains. Colin Norris aims to build on his 5th place finish from last week’s IRONMAN Cascais. He races alongside the winner of IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth, George Goodwin, as well as Ashley Hurdman and Harry Palmer. For the women, Emma Pallant will look to take gold once more after her win at IRONMAN Cascais last week. Lucy Hall and Tara Grosvenor also represent Great Britain.

IRONMAN Barcelona

This race begins with a rolling swim start in the Mediterranean Sea before transitioning into a fast and flat two-lap bike course. The race ends with a three-lap 42.2km run along the Mediterranean coast. Sam Pictor, Elliot Smales and Robert Drake all compete in the Pro Men division. As for the women, Frankie Sanjana and Claire Hann will represent Great Britain this weekend in Spain. Hann was the second women to cross the line at IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth in September, recording the fastest run at 01:23:47.
