2020 Maselspoort ATU Sprint Triathlon African Cup
Grant Sheldon will compete in his first race of the year after taking the bronze medal at Weihai ITU Triathlon World Cup last September. Sheldon ended the decade on a high note, with two bronze medals, and will be looking to continue his success in 2020.
Taking place in Bloemfontein, South Africa's judicial capital, the Sprint Cup is the first event of the year on the African Continental calendar.
2020 Asiago ITU Winter Triathlon World Championships
Age-Group athletes travel to Italy this weekend for the Winter Triathlon World Championships. These Championships will see competitors race a cross country ski, mountain bike and trail run around the forests as they seek out the title of World Champion.
Those set for the start line include Christopher Gouldsmith (M30-34) as well as Kelley Haniver and Joanne Pitten, who both occupy the F40-44 category. Nicola Don-Wider will compete in F45-49 whilst Frances Hooper and Nicholas Farnell will race in their respective female and male 60-64 categories.
The 2020 Winter Triathlon World Championships will be held in the Italian town of Asiago, in the heart of the Alps The races will be contested in the Centro di Fondo Campolongo, in the Altopiano di Asiago, one of the most fascinating areas in the Venetian mountains that boasts an average altitude of 1500m.
