Discovery Triathlon World Cup Cape Town

The South African capital hosts the opening ITU World cup on the 2019 calendar with India Lee and Alex Yee both on the startlist for Great Britain. Both athletes have been training in South Africa throughout January on camp with the wider UK Sport Lottery Funded World Class Performance Programme.

Cape Town has held a sprint distance triathlon event on the ITU calendar for a number of years and the native Richard Murray and Henri Schoeman will no doubt be seen as pre-event favourites to repeat their one - two performance from 2018.
