Viborg ETU Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon European Championships

The 10km run, 60km bike, 10km run format at the Middle Distance Duathlon European Championships will be contested by 31 members of the British Age Group team and four elite representatives this weekend.

Alice Hector and Georgina Schweining are both competing in this event for the first time but having picked up multisport medals in 2018 in the Ibiza ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships and Fyn ITU Duathlon World Championships respectively will be eyeing up a podium opportunity. Ben Price was 8th in 2018 and is joined by Peter Ellis who recorded a 5th place finish at the Putrajaya ASTC Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon Asian Championships in April.

Sines ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

The British Trio of Iestyn Harrett, James Teagle and Gordon Benson are competing in Portugal this Saturday in the latest european continental cup competition. 2016 Rio Olympian Benson is competing in his first event of the season after race outings were limited in 2018 due to injury.

Sospan Sprint Triathlon Llanelli

The Camarthenshire town of Llanelli this weekend hosts the second round of both the British Triathlon Senior Super Series and Youth and Junior Super Series and the first opportunity to race a draft-legal triathlon in 2019. The Llanelli Multi-Sport Festival also presents an paratriathlon racing opportunity and the open race doubles up as stage one of the Welsh Super Sprint Series which is due to be shown on S4C television services.

Ironman 70.3 Pays d'Aix

Nikki Bartlett returns to long course racing this weekend having guided Alison Peasgood (PTVI) to gold in Milan a few weeks ago. Joining her on the start list are six further British athletes including Emma Pallant and Adam Bowden who have both started the season in hot form, picking up a number of Ironman and Challenge Family podiums between them.

Ironman 70.3 Vietnam

Tim Don and Holly Lawrence are on the start list for Ironman 70.3 Vietnam, with both entering the race on the back of strong results - Lawrence having taken the tape in Utah last weekend and Don picking up silver at the Cannes International Triathlon in April. Of international interest, Patrick Lange (DEU), the two time Ironman world champion lines up in the men's race and will provide stern competition.
