This weekend features ITU World Cup Paratriathlon, an ETU European Cup sprint event, and some interesting long distance racing.

Iseo - Franciacorta ITU Paratriathlon World Cup

With Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games very much the focus for our paratriathlon performance squad, five paratriathletes are competing in the ITU Paratriathlon World Cup in Iseo-Franciacorta, Italy this weekend as part of their planning for racing in the hot temperatures in Tokyo.

Paralympic silver medallist and European Champion, Lauren Steadman is competing in her first ITU Paratriathlon World Cup of the season in the women's PTS5 category.  Karen Darke (PTWC) and George Peasgood (PTS5) are looking to build upon their recent success at the European Championships three weeks ago, where they both won bronze medals.  Ryan Taylor (PTS3) and Alison Patrick, guided by Nicole Waters (PTS5), complete the British line-up. 

Tartu ETU Sprint Triathlon European Cup

Sunday’s ETU Cup action goes to Estonia with racing over the sprint distance. Calum Johnson won his last European Cup event in Weert, Netherlands last month (standard distance), and will hope for a repeat. British athletes racing: Calum Johnson, Luke Pollard, Anthony Haynes, Harry Leleu, Matthew Nelson, Archie Molesworth St Aubyn, Chloe Cook.

Long Distance Racing

Particualr interest is focuseed on Germany this weekend with both Ironman Frankfurt and Challenege Roth taking place. Joe Skipper and Laura Siddall shoud be challengers in Roth as Daniela Ryf (SUI) attempts to break Chrissie Wellington's Long Course world record. 

Ironman Frankfurt doubles as the European Championship, and features British insterest including Lucy Charles, who won her last Ironamn event in Lanzarote. Complete pro start list is HERE.
