What’s coming up this weekend…

Our athletes will be out in full force this weekend with the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Rotterdam taking over the triathlon calendar. Closer to home, the final chance for age-groupers to qualify for the 2018 ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships will be on offer at Thorpe Park on Sunday.

ITU World Triathlon Grand Final Rotterdam

A some-370 strong Great Britain Elite and Age-Group Team will be travelling to Rotterdam this weekend for the ITU World Triathlon Grand Final, comprising a number of World Championship opportunities for athletes across the globe. The Elite Paratriathlon World Championships kick off the event on Friday, followed by the Junior Women’s and U23 Men’s World Championship races.

Saturday brings the Junior Men and U23 Women into the spotlight, followed by the Elite Men’s and Women’s races in the afternoon. On the final day of the event, Britain’s top age-groupers take centre stage over the sprint and standard distance to close the curtain on a packed weekend.

2018 ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon Qualifier

Thorpe Park will be hosting the final chance to qualify for the 2018 ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon Championships this weekend. Athletes will be racing around the theme park in a bid to win a place at the 2018 Glasgow ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon European Championships. For more information, visit here.

Challenge Davos Festival

Mark Buckingham is in action this weekend at the Challenge Davos Festival in Switzerland. He will be competing alongside some of Europe’s finest athletes on Sunday, hoping to continue his strong run of form throughout 2017.
