Alistair Brownlee returns to action on Friday following hip surgery last August. IRONMAN 70.3 Dubai will mark his return to competition in a strong international field which also includes former 70.3 World Champion, Holly Lawrence in the women’s race.

Dubai hosts the second IRONMAN race of the 2018 season where some of Great Britain’s best middle-distance athletes will be tested by high temperatures and a potentially harsh racing environment.

Glenelg OTU Sprint Triathlon Oceania Cup
There are no British athletes racing on the ITU circuit this weekend, but the sprint cup event in Australia on Saturday will provide some early indication of the form of key Commonwealth competitors, including Andrea Hewitt & Ryan Sissons of NZL and Charlotte McShane & Gillian Backhouse of Australia. Ben Shaw of Ireland provides the closest home interest in the race.
