Taylor-Brown and Yee secure World silvers
The World Triathlon Championship Series came to an enthralling conclusion at the Championship Finals in Abu Dhabi where both Georgia Taylor-Brown and Alex Yee came away with silver medals.
Two huge efforts from the Olympic gold and silver medallists, along with the rest of the British team, saw them leave Abu Dhabi having given everything in the fight for the world title which came down to the final metres in the men’s race.

Medal sweep in paratriathlon
It was a complete set of medals at the World Triathlon Para Championships where Dave Ellis and his guide Luke Pollard again showcased their dominance to retain their PTVI world title.
Claire Cashmore claimed silver in the women’s PTS5 and there was bronze for Alison Peasgood and her guide Brooke Gillies in the women’s PTVI, alongside a number of other strong performances from the British paratriathlon team.

U23 world titles for Waugh and Bentley
Not only were British triathletes at the forefront of the World Triathlon Championship Series racing, but the future looks bright for Great Britain too.
Kate Waugh and Connor Bentley both secured their first World titles as the Under 23 races were dominated by British triathletes in Abu Dhabi, including world bronze for Hamish Reilly.

Medal haul for GB Age-Group Team
The Great Britain Age-Group Team ended the year on a high with medal successes at the World Triathlon Age-Group Championships Abu Dhabi.
Over 290 athletes represented the GB Age-Group Team with the team returning with 45 medals – 17 golds, 14 silvers and 14 bronzes – across the super sprint triathlon, standard distance triathlon and aquabike events.
