AJ Bell World Triathlon Leeds

Leeds spectators have been treated to a British one-two across all three previous editions of the elite race with the Brownlee brothers topping the podium in 2016 and 2017, followed by World Champion Vicky Holland and Georgia Taylor-Brown's crowd pleasing performance in 2018 on home soil.

The British line up is as strong as it's been in recent times, with Jess Learmonth having started the season strongly picking up two world series medals and the emerging talent of Alex Yee showing just how dangerous he can be at the top level with his running speed. Many eyes however will be on the return of Alistair and Jonathan Brownlee to their home city, who race alongside each other for the first time since last years Grand Final and will certainly be expecting of themselves to challenge for the winners tape, particularly in front of a local crowd!

Along side the elite event thousands of inspired triathletes will compete across the weekend mass participation races for theire very own blue carpet moment with TriStar, Youth & Junior, GO TRI, Sprint and the British Standard Distance Championships waves.

Watch live TV coverage on BBC Two from 1pm Sunday, with coverage also across Triathlonlive.tv and AJ Bell World Triathlon Leeds social media channels.
