How long have you been volunteering in Triathlon? 20 years

What does your volunteering role entail?    North East Junior coordinator

Providing information to parents/guardians and juniors on local races how to get involved with clubs, links to British Triathlon Skill School and N.E. Academy.

Where to take part in different training groups within a coached environment.

Going into Schools with presentations about Triathlon and activity sessions during summer spots weeks.

Supporting junior and senior events both locally and nationally.

What is most rewarding from your volunteer role?

To see everyone achieve their goal, growing in confidence and self-esteem.

To be helpful and pass on relevant information

What is your motivation to volunteer in Triathlon?

As an age group Multiple World, European and National Champion I wanted to give something back to our sport.

As a volunteer in triathlon, what have you been most pleased with/greatest success?

Probably seeing athletes start their journey and still involved with many becoming volunteer`s or coaches with clubs.

How could a volunteer make a difference to the sport of Triathlon?

Make everyone aware of how happy and open to all our sport is. Inspire and motivate all.
