The North West Regional Committee recently held their 2016 AGM.

On the 13 October 2016, the North West Committee held its annual general meeting at the Best Western Lancashire Manor Hotel.

Among the issues and points raised at the meeting were the re-structure of the committee and removal of the county rep posts, as well as the continued success of the academy and the development of skills school.

It was also announced that Rolf Cooley would be stepping down from his role leading the children's series. Rolf has done a fantastic job over the years and the committee would like to say thankyou for all the hours and hard work Rolf put into the role. Paul Ekgren was voted into the role and has already started planning for 2017, the dates will be out soon.

As well as Paul taking over the role, Sonia Carty has moved from her role as Merseyside Rep to Sponsorship and Fundaraising Rep and will be working closely with Oliver Heald to help secure any available funding for clubs. It was also approved at the meeting that Danny Parr would join the committee as Skills School Lead Coach and that the County Rep positions were no longer viable so they were removed.
