All you need to know about the Senior Super Series in 2022
The British Triathlon Senior Super Series provides high-level competitive racing opportunities for Senior and U23 athletes within the British Triathlon pathway.
Athletes will compete at races throughout the year to earn points, with the overall winners crowned at the end of the series. 2022 will see athlete’s race Sprint and Super Sprint distances, and also have the opportunity to get involved with some mixed relay events.
Prize money will be awarded at each Senior Super Series race, as well as for the overall series podium.
All races on the Senior Super Series will be subject to British Triathlon guidance for events and event organisers, ensuring that they are safe to race at.
Covid-19 secure measures will be communicated by the organisers of the different races in the build up to the event, but please be aware that these may differ when racing across Britain and may also affect spectators as well as participants.

Senior Super Series Race Starts
The Senior Super Series Selection policy, below, will be used to determine race starts for the 2022 season. The Performance Assessment weekend will be used to determine the order of entry for senior athletes who do not qualifiy for a Tier 1 start via their World Triathlon ranking or previous Super Series results. For more information on the selection process for the 2022 series and a list of athletes who achieved Top 10 and Top 20 results, please refer to the documents below.
Please note, some senior athletes will have to attend a Bike Intelligent Race Day prior to the Performance Assessments. More information on the 2022 Performance Assessments and the pre-PA IRD's can be found here.
Age-Group and International Athlete Entries
In a further update for the 2022 season, five spaces for Age-Group athletes will be provided at a number of Senior Super Series legs. Further details can be found here.
Athletes who have finished two or more previous Senior Super events, are members of the eight British Triathlon affiliated Training Centres of Bath, Birmingham, Cardiff, Eastbourne, Leeds, Loughborough, Nottingham and Stirling, plus athletes who have competed in the 2019 or 2021 Junior Super Series can register as Senior athletes. All other athletes who wish to take part should register as Age-Group athletes.
International athletes are also invited to take part in the events and should email firstname.lastname@example.org if they wish to apply to do so.
To be eligible, participants must be a current British Triathlon Home Nation member. You may be asked to prove your membership when entering and registering at the individual races on the series at the request of the event organiser. Please ensure that your membership record is up to date and that all information on it is correct, entering each race with your name as it appears on your membership card.
