April see the two Lakes in Hampshire open for open water swimming.
Ellingham Lake near Ringwood in the New forest opened on 13th April 2016 where the water was a chilly 11 degrees. The lake offers a 500m, 750m and 1200m loop. They have showers and changing facilities on site. The lake is open for swimming every Wednesday and Saturday morning 06:00-08:00 . Please visit their website for more details.
Lakeside Country park in Eastleigh, Hampshire has a new company operating open water swimming. HOWL Multisports have organised an opening evening on 21st April 2016 18:00. Sessions run every Thursday evening 18:00 – 21:00 and Saturday mornings 06:00 – 12:00. When the weather warms Tuesday mornings will be added to the sessions.
