Here's the latest updates on the Junior Seires and the IRC team for 2019.
Junior Race Series
June and July have seen some hot days and strong racing in the Junior Race Series. We had the Bridge Triathlon, Leeds Castle Aquathlon and Chichester Triathlon all within a few weeks of each other. With one last race to take place and with five of seven races counting, the series placings are starting to take shape. But this could all change following the Brighton and Hove Triathlon on Sunday 15th September. This is the last race of the series and podium places are still up for grabs. More information HERE

New for 2019, our Junior Race Series winners will stand alongside the Senior Series winners and receive their awards at the TESE AGM on November 2nd. Find out more HERE.
IRC Team 2019
The last few weeks have also seen the selection of the Triathlon England South East IRC team 2019. Many congratulations to the following triathletes on their selection to the team competing at the Inter-Regional Championships at Mallory Park on 7th/8th September:

The IRC will be part of the British Triathlon Big Weekend and will also include the Accenture British Triathlon TriStar Mixed Relay event. The Big Weekend brings together the entire Performance Pathway in one place and is a celebration of the performance of athletes of all ages. This pinnacle event at the end of the season is traditionally a key milestone in the development of future triathlon stars!
We wish the team the very best of luck – go South East!
Summer Skills School
There will be a special summer Skills School on Sunday August 25th. This is for IRC team members and TS2, TS3 and Youth athletes that are looking to race in open water or draft legal races in 2020. This is a great opportunity to develop performance racing skills with athletes of a similar ability. The morning starts at Leybourne Lakes, Kent for open water racing skills followed by two hours at the Cyclopark, Gravesend, practicing group racing and finishing with some mixed relay race fun. You can find out more and book HERE.
