Meet the South East Committee Comms Team

Published:

Quite fittingly after a Social Media post from the South East Committee to recruit some savvy social media and communications buffs a new team has been created!

  • Fiona Bugler: Has a strong communications background and has worked with a number of endurance brands, events and publishers, as well as been involved in a number of running clubs. Fiona is also behind endurancewomen.com, an online community sharing stories of ordinary women being extraordinary. Locally, Fiona is in the team behind the Brighton Tri Club’s communications. Fiona is keen to inspire others, particularly women, to get out there and feel empowered through being active.
  • Chris Tyson: Originally a mountain biker that took up running to cross train, Chris entered his first triathlon in 2012 and has never looked back. Since then Chris has enjoyed taking part in sprint and Olympic distance events as well as getting involved with aquathlon, in which he has recently qualified to race in the ITU age group aquathlon later this year. Away from sport Chris enjoys baking and has mastered the art of a fine Victoria sponge, though maybe not the best way to refuel after a session! Chris was keen to join the committee to help share with others the joys and benefits that triathlon and multi-sport can bring to people’s lives. Who’d want to be limited to doing just one sport?
  • Grace joined Brighton Tri Club three years ago having been persuaded to join in on the running sessions by her Dad, she quickly fell in love with the sport after joining in on training sessions and entering a local novice race. This year, Grace is the Casual Kit Officer for Brighton Tri Club as well as training to be a Local Technical Official.
  • Interesting fact – Grace has completed Brighton Marathon twice.  Grace would like to encourage everyone of all abilities and ages to get involved with triathlon as it is a varied, challenging and rewarding sport.

The Committee are delighted to have such an experienced and passionate team. Make sure you follow Facebook, Twitter and Instagram . Include these hashtag #TriSouthEast  in your posts so we can share!
