Lower Limb Training

Explanation

Lower limb conditioning is important in triathlon mainly because of the running element of the sport, to make sure you can stay injury free throughout your training and of course importantly your race!

In this video Georgia Taylor-Brown provides exercise demonstration as British Triathlon's Senior Strength and Conditioning coach Ian Piper talks us through three exercises; the double leg calf raises, the straight leg calf raise and the bent leg calf raise. If you are consistant with these three exercises it should make you more robust and ideally stop you getting injured so often.
