Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Welsh Triathlon is fully committed to the principles of equality of opportunity and is responsible for ensuring that no job applicant, employee, volunteer or member receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, sex, gender reassignment, disability, ethnicity, nationality, parental status, marital and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, religion or belief, class or social background, sexual orientation or political belief.

Wales has an increasingly diverse population - not all have an equitable representation in Triathlon. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate at recreational and competitive levels. Participating in sport improves community relationships and the general health of the population.

Sport Wales and UK Sport have provided all National Governing Bodies with Equality Standards that must be met. Welsh Triathlon will work to ensure that it will become more Equitable; both in terms of the organisation and the wider sport.
