Wednesday 29th September 2021 will be the date where triathletes of all ages, abilities and experience will unite on a Zwift ride to support popular Welsh athlete, Nathan Ford.

Many across the Triathlon community will have seen the news of an incident at the Aberfeldy Triathlon, host of the British Middle-Distance Championship for 2021. During the bike stage, Nathan was involved in an incident which has seen him suffer some life changing injuries.

As news of the incident broke from his family and friends, the support shown from across the triathlon community far and wide has been extraordinary. Within days, a just giving fund had been established to support Nathan and his family through the rehab that lay ahead, and the sums raised are an indicator of how popular and respected Nathan is across the triathlon community.

Messages of support have been received from the four corners of the globe.

The Zwift ride on September 29th gives the whole triathlon community an opportunity to unite, and ride in support of Nathan for the battle ahead that he and his family face.

Clear your diaries, get your club mates together, gather your training buddies, or ride individually; lets come together and show our support. The ride will be led by Nathan’s NFT team mate and coach Mark Rabaiotti, and our friends at Zwift will be spreading the word far and wide to ensure some of the sports’ more famous names join in.
