Welsh Triathlon receives insport NGB Silver Award

Published:

We are pleased to share that we have achieved our insport NGB silver award.

This shows the commitment of the Welsh Triathlon community to ensure that our sport is accessible and welcoming. Inclusivity is a key pillar in our new strategy, and we will continue to work towards making sure our sport can be accessed no matter what ability or previous experience.

We would like to thank each one of our affiliated clubs, event organisers, members, tutors, volunteers, and athletes for their contribution towards this achievement. Without the efforts you make in delivering and encouraging people to get involved in triathlon this would not have been possible. We would also like to thank Disability Sport Wales for the support they have provided along our journey.

We acknowledge that we have a lot of work still to do and look forward to continuing to work with the community.

We have exciting times ahead of us with the World Para Series being held in Swansea over the next 3 years.

We will be working across Wales, with local clubs and local authorities, as part of our legacy project, to bring more accessible triathlon opportunities to people in Wales.

“Triathlon now clearly understands the value, benefits and philosophy of having an inclusive governing body”.   Disability Sport Wales
