West Midlands Ballot now open for Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

Published:

West Midlands residents now have the unique opportunity of applying for tickets to the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games before the main ballot.

Open between 14-30 July, the West Midlands Ballot allows the people of the host region to be the first in line to acquire their tickets for the Commonwealth Games next year. The main ticket ballot will begin in September, giving local residents a head start in ensuring they join other West Midlands locals in representing the region at this celebration of sport and culture.

The West Midlands Ballet is open now and available here.

Ticket prices begin at just £8 for under 16s and £15 for adults and with 286 sessions of sport, 19 different sports and a full 11 days of competition, there’s something for everyone at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

Sport’s making their debut at the Games include women’s cricket T20, basketball 3x3, wheelchair basketball 3x3 and mixed synchronised diving, with the two ‘Super Sundays’ in particular providing excellent spectating opportunities.

After the region’s ballot closes at the end of the month, those successful in securing tickets will be emailed. Following this, the main ballot will then open in September, being open to everyone and the results being sent out in October.

Triathlon and paratriathlon will take place at the Games on Friday 29 July and Sunday 31 July in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield. Men's and women's individual triathlon will take place on the 29th, with men's and women's PTVI paratriathlon and mixed relay triathlon rounding out the Games for swim, bike, run on the 31st.
