The region will only consider those athletes have met the above criteria.

The athletes who qualify and the reserves will be required to attend IRC training day TBC.

Triathlon England West Midlands Appeals IRC Team

Athlete Appeal for Qualifying event

In case of injury or illness preventing anyone from taking part or mechanicals during the race e.g. punctures, an appeal can be made to the Team Manager within 24 hours of the selection event.  This should be accompanied by supporting evidence and relevant race results.  A selection committee will then consider and make a final decision.

To avoid potential conflict of interest.

Appeals will agreed by 3 independent committee members to ensure:

  1. There will be a majority one way of the other
  2. No conflicts of interest
  3. The Junior Development Coach/IRC Team Manager will not be part of the Committee but will make their recommendations for review by  the independent* committee members. This does not leave the Team Manager in a compromised position with the team, as the decision is made independent of them.

*Independent committee members should not include committee members who: are married/in a relationship/preferably not from the same club as each other/same club as the appellant, or anyone else involved or affected by the decisions/process

The decision of the Regional Committee will be final and cannot be appealed. email tewmjuniordev@outlook.com
