With events now taking place across England, this weekend saw multisport action in Yorkshire with the Blue Lagooner's Evolve Triathlon taking place on 16 August.
To help in planning and putting on safe, Covid-19 Secure events, British Triathlon have provided additional guidance and webinars for event organisers who are running events since the suspension on activity was lifted.
The Evolve Triathlon allowed participants to choose between the 1/4 distance that consisted of a 1km swim, 45km, bike and 10km run, the 1/2 distance, which doubled the length of each discipline, or the 3/4, that challenged athletes to a 3km swim, 135km bike and 30km run to finish.
All distances shared the same course, with participants taking on one, two or three laps depending on their chosen distance. This meant that all participants enjoyed a swim across the Blue Lagoon, a cycle through the flat, quiet country roads of Mid-Yorkshire and a run around Womersley.
